KEVIN T. WILLIAMS
featured musician
Featuring a live solo vocal & acoustic guitar performance by Kevin T. Williams. Kevin started his musical odyssey at the age of 2 in the place where most African-American singers start, the church. Growing up in Watts, California, Williams soaked up every musical influence that the city could offer. Latin, African, Motown, Funk, Soul and Rock and Roll were all in his own "butterflow" style by the time he joined his first band at the age of 13. His journey through the LA music scene and over 35 countries throughout the world has been bright and exciting.
Williams has a long list of recordings, production and song writing credits (including “Tell Me Why” co-written with South African singer Jonathan Butler and produced by Earth Wind and Fire front man Maurice White),Talk Back, The Rebel Rockers,The Bonedaddys, Jump with Joey,Solsonics & Ben Harper are just the short list of the artist that Kevin has lent his unique & varied talents to along the way.
With real American sounds steeped in the tradition of JAMES BROWN, STEVIE WONDER, MARVIN GAYE and CURTIS MAYFEILD. www.butterflow.com |

LILI BERNARD
|
|
"I think the work that Lili is doing in telling that story . . . for lack of a better word , documenting that experience, the Afro-Cuban and the Afro-American experience as well, is very important -- and on top of being beautiful. The art work is really beautiful as well. We have a really powerful message on top of something that is esthetically pleasing."
