This is a freehand variation of my first "
Self Portrait in Pallet Knife" painting, which is one of my most popular paintings. In making this painting, I allowed myself the freedom to impulsively change the colors. I asked myself, "How would it look if I were to paint the mouth red, instead of green?" What ensued was a fun exercise in spontaneity as well as hue. I might like to construct an original series of these self portraits, with each portrait composed in different colors. We'll see.
