Actor/Writer/Commentator Joseph C. Phillips chats with his old friend and Cosby Show colleague, Lili Bernard, who is a Cuban-born, Los Angeles-based, fine artist, performer, writer and grassroots filmmaker. The topics the friends discuss include Afro-Cuban life, ancestry and politics, in parallel to the Black America experience. Joseph's comments serve as a "foreword" to the ensuing five-minute video abstract of Lili Bernard's multi-media work-in-progress, entitled "Ceiba De Cuba." This sample of Lili's work, poetically explores Che Guevara the icon and Che Guevara his words and deeds, as it relates to Lili's personal Afro-Cuban ancestry.
